Full Page Screenshot is a Chrome extension for taking, editing and exporting screenshots of web pages. In short, everything stays on your device.
What the extension stores
- Screenshots you take, with the page title, page address (URL), image size and capture date. They are saved in the extension's local storage (IndexedDB) so you can open them again from the popup and the gallery. Only your most recent 25 screenshots are kept. Older ones are deleted automatically, and you can delete any screenshot yourself at any time.
- Your settings, such as capture mode, device, delay and preferred export format.
- The last area you selected, kept only until you close the browser.
All of this stays in your browser on your computer. Removing the extension deletes it.
What the extension does not do
- It does not send screenshots, page content, browsing history or any other data to a server. The extension makes no network requests at all.
- It has no accounts, analytics, tracking, advertising or third-party services.
- It does not sell or share data with anyone.
- It only reads a page when you start a capture on that page.
Permissions
- Debugger: attached only to the tab you are capturing and only while the capture runs. It is used to capture the full scrollable page and to render tablet and mobile layouts. Chrome shows a notice bar while it is attached.
- Active tab and scripting: give temporary access to the current tab after you click the extension, use its shortcut or its right-click menu. This access is used to capture the page and to show the area and element pickers.
- Storage: saves your settings locally.
- Context menus: adds the capture options to the right-click menu.
Clipboard and downloads
When you click Copy or Download, the image is put on your clipboard or saved to your computer, at your request.
